FERNANDA EMEDIATO is from São Paulo, a writer, editor, producer, and entrepreneur. She wrote her first book, A menina perdida (The Lost Girl), at the age of nine in a children's diary. This book was published in 2013 by Geração Editorial; it talks about not judging people without first getting to know them. Her second book, A menina sem cor (The Colorless Girl), published in 2020 by Troinha, sensitively and carefully addresses the themes of racism and self-acceptance.
As an activist since 2013, she has participated in initiatives for children's rights, joining groups that visit schools in the capital of São Paulo and other cities, with the aim of emphasizing the importance of reading in personality development. In 2017, she participated in a project with activities aimed at visually impaired children served by the Dorina Nowill Foundation, using her book A menina sem cor as the theme. Among other actions, in 2015, she created the social campaign "Você faz, você pode" (You do it, you can do it), in which she raised money through crowdfunding to purchase toys that were distributed in the outskirts of São Paulo and also at the Oncocentro Foundation of São Paulo (FOSP).
