When five-year-old Leo disappears after leaving school, it sets a chain of events in motion that will change the lives of the local residents forever. Ashton committed a terrible crime as a child, but he's determined to put the past behind him and build a new life for himself - where no one knows his dark secrets. But Lynda, a stern secondary school teacher, recognises the troubled boy from all those years ago, bringing him the unwelcome attention he fears.
